The Most Reverend Katharine Jefferts Schori

The Diocese of Northern Indiana is pleased to welcome the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, The Most Reverend Katharine Jefferts Schori, as our special guest at Diocesan Convention in 2011.

What a weekend! I am still in amazement over the outstanding work done by the Cathedral of Saint James in hosting the 113th Convention of the Diocese of Northern Indiana. Feedback from around the Diocese is that it was a well-run event, that worship was beautiful, intentional, and holy, and that everything went very smoothly. I am filled with gratitude for our congregation who, by prayer and action, pulled off an amazing feat of hospitality in the largest single event undertaken in recent diocesan history. So many people played a role in making this happen, but special recognition goes to Keith LaPierre, Leah Zimmer, Steve Wietstock, and Tracy Rose for their service over many months on the leadership team and to CJ Eggbeer for the extraordinary logistical feat of managing sound systems at multiple locations throughout the weekend.
