Practice the Spiritual Discipline of Listening this Lent
2021 Lenten Devotional
Lent is a time for introspection and self-reflection, a time to reflect on the core of what it means to live a Christian life in the midst of great change and uncertainty. When facing change and uncertainty, few practices are more central to that life than listening—listening to ourselves, listening to others, and listening to God.
This Lent, we invite you to consider using the devotional 'Living Well Through Lent' as part of your daily spiritual disciplines. The devotional was put together by Living Compass, an Episcopalian Organization that seeks to 'provides tools and trainings to assist individuals, families, and congregations as they seek to live the life God calls them to in all areas of life—heart, soul, strength, and mind.' This focus on wholistic well being provides the foundation for their work. With that in mind, this devotional provides us with an opportunity to reflect on and examine our own lives this Lent.
For those who may be interested, a small group will be meeting Thursdays at noon on Zoom to reflect on the devotionals in Living Well Through Lent 2021. If you're interested in joining the group, please contact Steven Slaubaugh at formation@stjamessouthbend.org
