The Dean's List

9/11
We are honored this Sunday to welcome Ms. Cynthia Laney, a member of the Cathedral community, as our guest speaker. Cindy lived in New York City and was on her way to the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11, 2001. Her story is poignant, and we are honored to have her share it with us at both services on the eve of the 22nd anniversary of that terrible day. Additionally, her son, Jack Laney, will offer a Chopin piece as the prelude at the 10:30 am service.

As I announced the past few Sundays, Cindy's talk may best be reserved for more mature audiences. The nursery will, therefore, be open and staffed during the first part of the service, with children rejoining us at the Peace.

Rides for Donnie
Don Zigler lives on Riverside Court. His wife, Rosemary, lives at the Cardinal Nursing Home on the corner of LaSalle Ave. and Eddy St. Currently, Donnie is only able to visit Rosemary on Fridays. The reason? That's the only day he can get a ride. This is deeply frustrating for both of them. I told him I would see what we - the Cathedral community - could do.

So, Cathedral community, if anyone is available on any other day of the week to pick Donnie up at his home, drop him off at Cardinal for a couple of hours, then pick him up at Cardinal and take him back home, please let me know.

OR... if anyone is willing to help underwrite Uber fares, that could be helpful, too.

Thank you so much!

A Ride for Rosemary
Rosemary Zigler is looking for a ride to our 10:30 service this Sunday, September 10. If anyone is able to pick her up at her residence, please let me know.
