Requiescat in Pace:

Rick Hilliard

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I inform you of the sudden and unexpected death of Dr. Richard Hilliard this morning. Rick & Celeste, along with their children, Joseph and Sarah, were in Houston for a family wedding. Celeste is grateful in this time to be with her children and surrounded by extended family. 

Rick was currently serving as Senior Warden at the Cathedral of Saint James. He was deeply involved in Cathedral life and ministries in myriad other ways as well including choir, the Fellowship of St. John, Assistance Ministry, Counting ministry, and the builders group known as Matthew & the Retirees. Rick, Celeste, and family became members of the Cathedral of Saint James when they moved here many years ago for Rick's job in administration at the University of Notre Dame.

May Rick's soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace, and may light perpetual shine upon him.

Please keep Celeste, Joseph, Sarah and the entire Hilliard family in your prayers.

Funeral arrangements are pending. Special prayers of intention will be included at worship on Friday and Sunday.
