A church community, filled with the light of Christ’s teachings and a shared commitment to carrying them to the world beyond its physical doors, reaches out to do just that through the work of outreach and evangelism. At Saint James, we just connected with our neighbors in a (sweetly) tangible and immediate way through the one-day outreach of Shortcakes on the Blacktop. But what other ways might our community be the hands and feet of Christ in the world? What compelling services—or practical programs—can we develop and implement here that would allow us to share God’s love with those who most need to know it, thereby fully serving our church’s intended purpose? Please come and share your ideas with fellow members Al Whitfield and Wendy Wilson, as we search together for meaningful ways to reach back out to our community in Christ’s love. We will meet after the second service on Sunday, July 14 at 11:30 a.m. at Chicory Cafe. We look forward to hearing your thoughts!
