Holy Baptism

Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body the Church. Baptism is normally offered five times annually. Those desiring to be baptized or to have a child baptized should speak with the Dean to set a date and arrange for instruction.

 

Holy Eucharist

Holy Eucharist is communion with God and the Church through sharing Christ’s presence in the blessed bread and wine. The Eucharist is offered to all baptized Christians on Sunday mornings, and at Wednesday and Friday services.

 

Confirmation

Confirmation is a mature, public affirmation of faith with the laying on of hands by the Bishop. Anyone wishing to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church or desiring to renew their baptismal vows should contact the Dean.

Holy Matrimony

Holy Matrimony is the joining together of two persons in a life-long, faithful, committed marriage that is rooted in the relationship between Christ and the Church. Click here for additional wedding information. Persons who wish to be married should contact the Dean prior to setting a wedding date.

Reconciliation

Reconciliation is confessing one’s sins before God and a priest and receiving counsel and absolution. This sacrament is offered by appointment with the Dean.

 

Unction

Unction is prayers for healing with the laying on of hands and anointing with holy oil. This sacrament is available at any time from the Deacon or the Dean.

 

Burial of the Dead

The death of a member of the Church should be reported as soon as possible to, and arrangements for the funeral should be made in consultation with, the Dean of the Cathedral. Learn more here.
