The Dean's List

Salutation
Priest:    May the 4th be with you.
People:  And also with you.

Reunification Discernment Conversations
The discernment committee guiding the conversation on possible reunification of the Episcopal dioceses of Northern Indiana and Indianapolis recently decided - based upon feedback from both dioceses - to recommend postponement of the reunification vote. The vote will now occur at concurrent conventions in late February or early March of 2026. The extra time has been allotted to allow for addition conversation, clarification, and articulation of future possibilities for reunification, shared ministry, or continued work as separate dioceses.

In Northern Indiana, we begin with open conversations in each deanery. The Central Deanery - of which we are a part - will convene on Sunday, May 18 at Saint Michael & All Angels Church on N Ironwood Rd, South Bend. The meeting will begin at 3 pm. Registration is not required; just come!

If you are not available on that date, an online conversation for the entire diocese (hosted by the Cathedral) will take place on Saturday, June 7, beginning at 10 am. Click here to register.

Youth Sunday: May 11
The 10:30 am service next Sunday will be conducted almost entirely by teenagers. Youth Group members will serve as ushers, greeters, lectors, acolytes, Eucharistic ministers, musician, and hospitality hosts. High School seniors Anne Gray, Sophia Helfrich, and Dominic Vitale-Richards will offer the homily. Come rejoice, give thanks, and sing with our teenagers!

A new floor was installed in the Cathedral kitchen on Monday, April 28 and Tuesday, April 29. Matthew & The Retirees are nearly done with the trim work that will render this particular project complete.

In case you're wondering what year the wainscot paneling was installed in Cathedral Hall. Prior to that, it was a lovely, lovely shade of green.

Blessings,
Brian
