The Dean's List

Your COVID Addled Dean
I seem to be afflicted with COVID in odd-numbered years: July 2021, November 2023, and now September/October 2025. The third time around is no more fun than the first two. I seem to be on the upswing, but I'm laying low today and tomorrow to regather my energy. I'll be wearing a mask and sanitizing my hands copiously on Sunday, too. I may go old school and record my sermon in advance... we'll see.

Noon Eucharist Today
Canon Tina Velthuizen will preach and preside at the noon Eucharist today.

Pet Blessings Cancelled
Tonight's pet blessings have been cancelled, unfortunately.

New Archbishop of Canterbury
A woman has been chosen as Archbishop of Canterbury for the first time in the history of the Anglican Communion. Congratulations to Bishop Sarah Mullally. Read more here.

Blessings,
Brian

Cathedral Prayer List

Collect for Proper 22

Almighty and everlasting God, you are always more ready to hear than we to pray, and to give more than we either desire or deserve: Pour upon us the abundance of your mercy, forgiving us those things of which our conscience is afraid, and giving us those good things for which we are not worthy to ask, except through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ our Savior; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
